This article describes how to set default options that will automatically be selected each time a user creates a new contract for an advertiser. The user will have the ability to modify the selection if necessary. This feature is designed to streamline data entry and save the user time. It also allows a Station Group to define which fields are required on a contract.
Contract Types: You have the ability to set a default contract type by choosing from the drop-down list.
Default Days: Sets the Quote expiration "X" number of days after the Quote Date. User can override the date
Require Forecast Date: Do you as a Station Group want to require the Account Executive to enter a Forecast Close date? We strongly recommended this date entry as a requirement since the Sales Forecast chart on the dashboard is established by the entry of this date on each Quote.
Require Probability: Do you as a Station Group want to require the Account Executive to enter a Probability of Close? We strongly recommended entering this status as a requirement since the active chart on the dashboard “Open Quotes by Probability” is established by the entry of this status on each Quote.
Record Sold Contract: Do you as a Station Group use the CRM to record Sold Contract? The Record Sold Contract button allows you to Record a Sold Contract when creating a new Contract. Using this option, all dates and status codes are filled in saving you time. If as a general practice, your group uses the CRM to record sold contracts most of the time, you will want to set this to Yes.
Schedule Type: The Contract module supports 3 schedule types: None, Basic, and Detailed. Set the default to the schedule type most frequently used by your Group. See Creating a Contract for more information.
Schedule Calendar: The CRM supports 2 Schedule Calendar types: Calendar and Broadcast. Select the calendar type most frequently used by your group. The user can override this on an individual order as needed.
Select Default Stations for new contracts: Set a default station(s) to appear on new Contracts created. The user has the ability to change the default stations when creating a contract. This feature is most useful to those Groups with one or two stations where those stations appear on almost every order.
