As an Administrator it is important to understand how default parameters work within contracts.  Default contract types are useful to those groups who wish to create new contracts other than radio as a default.  The example below defaults to Radio, with additional choices available from within drop-down list (others can be added)

Contract Creation:

*As an Administrator you can set default parameters to minimize data entry for users creating contracts.

*The entries made by a user when creating a contract will depend on the defaults set in this section.

Defaults can be set for the following:

  • Contract Types - default to one mostly used - Radio or TV
  • Default Quote Expiration Date - How many days will a quote be valid
  • Require Forecast Close Date - Yes, to track
  • Require Probability - Yes, to track
  • Record Closed Contract - No - so you have the combined ability to create quotes and enter sold contracts
  • Schedule Type - Detailed - allows you the ability to create broadcast and NTR schedules
  • Default Revenue Type - Broadcast - to allow you to track revenue type
  • Schedule Calendar - Regular or Broadcast month - default to one mostly used
  • Default Stations - Apply default settings to some or all stations

In addition, as an administrator you can turn on the ability to apply a discount to the overall value of a contract within the Discount Authority section.

Once defaults have been established, creation of a contract begins with a user choosing their advertiser, by using the search field to locate. Once the advertiser has been chosen a user will use the "$" icon to create the sales order.

One click on the dollar sign icon opens the contract page. From this location you will build your contract

Our system provides the ability to create different types of contracts with various options:

  • Basic or Detailed Schedule Type
  • Regular or Broadcast Calendar
  • Package - No package, weekly, monthly, fixed, variable - *With traffic system integration, available options will be dependent on the order types that can be ingested by your traffic system
  • Payment type - Cash or Trade *with traffic system integration, separate contracts will be necessary for each cash and trade contract.

If you, as an administrator, have decided to turn on the Discount Authority for Contracts, users will have the ability to discount the overall value of a contract by the percentage granted to them.
